360 Sports clients enjoyed a successful festive period – with several players making a mark for their club.
With the Ladbrokes Premiership having a full schedule of fixtures including games on December 23 as well as December 27/28, Hearts youngsters Harry Cochrane and Jamie Brandon were both involved for the Jambos in crucial fixtures against St Johnstone and Hibernian respectively.
Cochrane – fresh off the back of a tremendous performance against Celtic the week prior – played 78 minutes at McDiarmid Park before being, unfortunately, sent-off for two second-half yellow cards. Hearts still managed a goalless draw, however, with Brandon remaining an unused sub.
However, the latter did play a full 90 minutes for the Gorgie men in the Edinburgh Derby on Wednesday night, helping his side towards a second consecutive 0-0 draw but – more importantly – a clean sheet.
The evening before Hogmanay, the pair both started for the Jam Tarts against Aberdeen at Pittodrie – with both sides sharing the points in a second consecutive goalless draw for Hearts.
In the lower rungs of Scottish football, midfielder Innes Murray – on loan from Hibs to Stenhousemuir – grabbed his first goal for the League Two outfit after coming off the bench against Elgin City in the league.
Elsewhere, Albion Rovers hitkid Connor Shields notched his 12th goal in just 21 appearances for the Cliftonhill side against East Fife in League One. The 20-year-old equalised to set his side up for a barnstorming 3-2 win over the Fifers that earned him yet another man of the match award from the club.
Also in League One Airdrie supporters were treated to a strong showing from Dean Cairns as the player helped his side to a 2-0 win over league leaders Ayr United at the Excelsior Stadium.
Cairns was named in the SPFL Team of the Week for the Diamonds in a terrific festive period for all those under the 360 Sports umbrella.
Albion Rovers and Airdrie then squared-off against each other in the League on January 2 with both Cairns and Connor Shields playing from kick-off for their respective clubs. Dean even managed to grab the second for Airdrie in a 2-2 draw – the first goal scored by any 360 Sports client of the New Year.
Well done to everyone involved at their clubs this festive period – we look forward to what’s in store in 2018 for all clients!
Happy New Year!
